WATCH: Whales blow ‘bubble nets’ to trap prey

(CBS) — Researchers say these humpback whales are swimming in circles and blowing bubbles to catch their prey.

Suction cups with cameras and sensors were attached to the animals to get the whale’s point of view.

The University of Hawaii at Mānoa released the video of the aminals off Southeast Alaska. Researchers said the rare video provides useful data about how humpback whales feed.
