After a sunny start Friday morning, some may have been caught off guard by the light showers that moved through during the late morning and early afternoon.
The cause was a cold front moving through, with enough moisture to form a line of light to moderate showers across the area. The rain was brief as most of it moved out within an hour and amounts were light, with most places receiving less than a tenth of an inch. Behind the front temperatures dropped from the mid 60s to the mid to upper 50s. Sunshine followed as temperatures once again climbed into the 60s for much of Friday afternoon.
There is another front on the way Friday night, and it will bring scattered showers once again. Most of the rain will move out by daybreak Saturday, but temperatures will be cooler through the weekend.
