FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD) tackled a house fire in southeast Fort Wayne Monday evening.
Crews were spotted in the 3000 block of Monroe Street.
The FWFD said firefighters arrived and found a fire coming from the basement before crews “quickly extinguished” the fire.
According to the FWFD, two adults and two children self-evacuated from the house after the fire started, and nobody suffered injuries in the incident.
The house suffered minor fire damage and moderate smoke and water damage, according to the FWFD.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the FWFD.
