It isn’t where you start but where you finish – just ask Bishop Dwenger graduate and Indiana University senior tight end Ryan Watercutter.
Watercutter arrived in Bloomington as a walk-on, but enters his season as a likely candidate to start for the Hoosiers.
Watercutter, who was put on scholarship last season, was the no. 2 tight end for I.U. last fall. Playing behind eventual NFL draft pick Ian Thomas, Watercutter snagged 12 receptions for 59 yards.
With Thomas gone, Dwenger’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards is primed to play at big role.
I.U. opens the season September 1 at Florida International.
