Pieri qualifies for the U.S. Senior Open

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The higher the number – even in golf – isn’t such a bad thing anymore.

Scott Pieri turned 50 in October and qualified for the U.S. Senior Open. He tees of next week at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

You have to be at least 50 years old to compete in this championship but the oldest person to ever win is 58. Pieri doesn’t want to just show up, he want to make it to the weekend.

The Northrop alumni certainly knows about winning too as he’s captured the Fort Wayne city tournament five times.
