FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Former Carroll Charger and currnent Wheeling Nailers defenseman Blake Siebenaler went one-on-one with WANE sports director Glenn Marini following Wednesday's game against the Komets.
Siebenaler played in Fort Wayne for the first time as a pro in the 6-5 loss to the Komets.
Siebenaler, who helped Carroll High School win a state title his freshman year, became the first player who grew up in Fort Wayne to be drafted by NHL team when he was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the third round in 2014.
After playing in the OHL for the Niagra IceDogs from 2013-16 Siebenaler moved up to the AHL's Cleveland Monsters, where he played until he was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins organization less than two weeks ago.
