Stewart’s goal earns Komets overtime win over Walleye


Chase Stewart beat Toledo goalie Kaden Fulcher just over four minutes into overtime as the Komets knocked off the rival Walleye 3-2 fof Fort Wayne’s fifth straight win.

J.C. Campagna scored his 10th goal of the season late in the second period on the power play to cuts Toledo’s lead to 2-1. Marco Roy’s fifth goal of the season less than two minutes into the third frame knotted the game at two and eventually sent it into overtime.

Zach Fucale stopped 37-of-39 shots in goal for the Komets.

The Komets hit the road Saturday to face Cincinnati at 7:35 p.m.
