Komets fall in overtime at Kalamazoo

Kyle Blaney’s goal 2:22 into overtime earned Kalamazoo a 6-5 victory against the Fort Wayne Komets on Thursday night.

Brady Shaw’s second goal of the night came with just 1:02 remaining in the third period to knot the game at 5-5 and send the contest into overtime.

Mason Baptista, Jake Kamrass, and Quintin Lisoway each found the net for the Komets.

Zach Fucale stopped 21-of-27 shots for Fort Wayne.

The Komets will be back home on Friday when they host Adirondack at 8 p.m. at War Memorial Coliseum.
