FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Komets squandered a three-goal lead and allowed five goals in the third period in a 10-8 loss to Kalamazoo on Wednesday night at War Memorial Coliseum.
The Komets took a 6-3 lead on a Brady Shaw goal midway through the second period and held a 7-5 advantage heading into the third period.
Anthony Petruzzelli scored two goals to lead the Komets.
Starting goalie Lukas Hafner stopped 32-of-39 shots before being replaced by Hayden Stewart in the third period. Stewart stopped 8-of-10 shots he faced with the Wings adding an empty net goal.
The Komets will be back in action on Friday at 8 p.m. when they host the Indy Fuel.
