Komets burned in overtime by Indy Fuel


Brady Shaw’s goal with 15 seconds remaining in regulation sent the Komets and Indy Fuel into overtime, but the K’s weren’t able to capitalize, falling 3-2 in OT.

Matt Rupert’s goal 2:08 into the extra frame won it for Indy.

The Komets took a 1-0 lead into the third period thanks to JC Campagna’s 18th goal of the season early in the second period.

Lukas Hafner stopped 26-of-29 shots in goal for the Komets.

The Komets are off Saturday but back in action on Sunday when they travel to Toledo for a 5:15 p.m. start.
