Komets reel in rival Walleye in 5-2 road win

Gabriel Desjardins netted two goals to give him 31 for the season as the Komets went on the road to beat the rival Walleye 5-2 at the Huntington Center in Toledo 5-2 on Friday night.

It was the Komets final road game of the 2017-18 season as the team plays its final two regular season games at the Coliseum by hosting Wheeling on Saturday and Cincinnati on Sunday.

Anthony Petruzzelli scored his first goal as a Komet in the first period against the Walleye while Bobby Shea and Jason Binkley also found the net.

Michael Houser stopped 32-of-34 shots for the Komets.
