The Komets earned a crucial 3-1 win in game four of the Central Division Finals Friday night in the Jungle to knot their series against the Walleye at two games apiece with the series heading back to Toledo.
After a scoreless first period Toledo got on the board just 2:48 into the second period when former Komet Mike Embach scored his second goal in as many games to put the Walleye up 1-0.
The Komets answered just 17 seconds later as Daniel Maggio pounded home a rebound for his third goal of the postseason.
The Komets took their first lead of the night at 18:36 in the second period when Mason Baptista hit Gabriel Desjardins for a breakaway goal, making it a 2-1 Komets advantage.
Maggio netted a power play goal in the third period to set the final at 3-1.
Michael Houser stopped 41-of-42 shots in goal for the Komets.
Pat Nagle was 22-of-25 for Toledo.
The series now shifts back to Toledo with game five set for Saturday night at 7:35 p.m. at the Huntington Center.
