IPFW’s Schroeder heading to NCAA Regional

Fresh off  his Summit League Championship victory, Fort Wayne men’s golfer Zach Schroeder found out on Wednesday night (May 2) that he will compete in the Columbus, Ohio NCAA Regional Tournament, May 14-16.

Schroeder secured his spot in Columbus after becoming the first Mastodon to capture the Summit League title Tuesday afternoon. He also becomes the first Fort Wayne golfer to advance to an NCAA Regional Tournament. He will compete at the OSU Golf Club, Scarlet Course on the campus of Ohio State University.

Schroeder’s region consists of 13 teams and nine other individuals. In all, six regional tournaments will be contested, with the low five teams and the low individual not on those teams advancing to the finals May 25-30 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
