Considered by many scouts as the top left-handed pitcher in all of minor league baseball the sight of a MacKenzie Gore 97-mile an hour fastball will be one of the best reasons to head out to Parkview Field this season.
The no. 3 overall pick in the 2017 MLB draft by the Padres out of Whiteville High School in North Carolina, Gore went 11-0 as a senior with a 0.19 ERA.
Gore, who is dealing with blisters on his pitching hand, is expected to make his TinCaps debut next Tuesday at Parkview Field against Lansing.
