Colts tight end Jack Doyle and quarterback Jacoby Brissett spent Thursday night in the Summit City signing for fans at Parkview Field as part of the annual “Colts At Bat” stop in Fort Wayne.
The Colts are coming off a 4-12 season in 2017 that resulted in head coach Chuck Pagano being fired. Frank Reich has been hired to take over the team – a team that’s success hinges on the health of quarterback Andrew Luck, who missed all last season with a shoulder issue.
Doyle, an Indianapolis native, logged a career-high 80 receptions last year for 690 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Brissett was traded from the Patriots to the Colts the week before the season opener. After coming on in relief of Scott Tolzien in Indianapolis’ first regular season game against the Rams Brissett would go on to start the final 15 games for Indy. He registered 3,089 passing yards with 13 TDs and 7 interceptions while also rushing for 4 touchdowns.
The Colts open the 2018 season at home on September 9 against the Bengals. It is one of 12 Colts games set to air on WANE-TV this season, as Newschannel 15 continues to be your home for Colts football.
