The Indianapolis Colts today announced its 2018 preseason schedule. The date for the preseason opener and the times for all four preseason games have yet to be finalized.
The Colts will open preseason play on the road against the Seattle Seahawks. Indianapolis and Seattle will compete for the 19th overall time in the preseason with the series tied at 9-9. In their last matchup on August 20, 2006, the Seahawks defeated the hosting Colts, 30-17.
In Week 2, the Colts will host the Baltimore Ravens in primetime on ESPN’s Monday Night Football. The contest will mark the second overall preseason meeting between the teams. On August 20, 2016, Indianapolis fell to the Ravens at Lucas Oil Stadium, 19-18.
The San Francisco 49ers will travel to Indianapolis in Week 3 for the second overall preseason matchup between the franchises. In their inaugural preseason contest on August 15, 2010, the Colts lost to the 49ers at Lucas Oil Stadium, 37-17.
The Colts will conclude preseason play on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals. The two teams have met in the preseason every year since 2001 and traditionally in the finale. The Bengals lead the preseason series record at 16-10 dating back to 1985. The Colts won last year’s matchup at home, 7-6.
