Bates walks halls at Snider with NFL journey set to begin

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – He doesn’t recall being the BMOC – or Big Man On Campus. Jessie Bates III remembers being 150 lbs as a senior for the Panthers. 

Bates III now awaits his name being call in the NFL Draft. The former Panthers safety continued his career at Wake Forest and is now ready to take the next steps. 

He took pictures and signed autographs at an honorary Jessie Bates day at Snider.

WANE-TV’s Andy McDonnell walked the halls with the alumni as he recalled the memories of being in Fort Wayne. 

Round 1 of the NFL Draft begins from Dallas, Texas on Thursday. The next two rounds take place on Friday and the draft wraps up on Saturday.
