If winning starts in the trenches than Huntington North should be in good shape this season.
The Vikings will be led on the offensive line by 6-foot-6, 290-pound senior Damon Kaylor. Kaylor committed to Michigan State in early June, picking the Spartans over offers from IU, Vanderbilt, and Virginia among others.
Jack Curless and Christian Graft also return as starters on the offensive line, on of the strengths of a Viking program that went winless for the first time in program history last fall.
Quarterback Brett Kaylor returns as does receiver Andrew Smekens and running backs Logan Hippensteel and Brock Eltzroth.
Defensively, Chandler Beaty and Curless will lead up front, Charlie Agnew provides experience at linebacker, while Eltzroth is a veteran in the secondary.
Huntington North opens its fourth season under coach Rick Burnau August 17 at Marion.
