FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Thousands of people took advantage of the nice weather Friday to wash to dirt, salt and grime off their vehicles. What they found were long lines and long waits.

Management at the Mike’s Car Wash on West Jefferson actually had to call Fort Wayne police to have an officer direct traffic.

For competitive reasons, Mike’s wouldn’t tell NewsChannel 15 how many vehicles they typically wash on an extremely busy day. As for what time of day they’re the busiest? That can vary. The manager NewsChannel 15 talked to also indicated that they do more business in winter months than in summer months.
