FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Downtown Fort Wayne has a new colorful building on display.

Lights that would make any Roy G. Biv enthusiast proud now illuminate the middle levels of the Ash Skyline Plaza.

The lights can be used in a variety of different colors and displays. Early Friday morning the lights were slowly changing between multiple colors in a wave around the building.

The colorful lights join the Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge, the Wells Street Bridge, and the Old City Building on East Berry Street that have nighttime illuminations.

The lights were tested back in December, according to a blog updating the project’s progress. The lights can change colors for seasons and special events.

Recently, Ash Brokerage announced the law office of Barnes and Thornburg will occupy space in the building. They join the previously announce branch of Lake City Bank, a DeBrand Find Chocolate store, The Skyline YMCA, The Golden restaurant and The Find (a store associated with Roanoke’s The Trove).

Ruth Chris Steakhouse also announced it will occupy some of the retail space at the Plaza.

Ash Brokerage said an upcoming announcement on another commercial tenant will be announced soon.

The attached parking garage opened earlier this month. The commercial and retail portion of the building is still under construction.
