FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Historic Embassy Theatre is hosting a number of events this summer featuring its newly renovated space.

Summer Nights at the Embassy continues each Wednesday with music, food and a cash bar in the top floors of the Embassy’s Ballroom, which was formerly part of The Indiana Hotel. The highlight of the renovation has been the popular Parkview Health Rooftop Patio where people can get a panoramic shot of the downtown area.

The Embassy also is hosting SCORE! Musical Theatre Workshop for middle aged students. Twenty-five students will spend three weeks learning about every aspect of the theatre business and putting together a show. Their hard work planning a musical will be shown in a special performance on July 30.

Nancy Louraine with the Embassy joined NewsChannel 15’s First News weekend and spoke about how the draw to downtown has made an impact on visitors who are getting to know the Embassy.

“I think everything going on downtown is helping to create more activity,” she said.
