GRABILL, Ind. (WANE) An Amish buggy was in pieces after it crashed with a truck Thursday afternoon. Around 12:15 the truck rear-ended the buggy on Grabill Road.

A deputy at the scene said the driver of the truck was headed east into Grabill and didn’t see the buggy.

The person in the buggy went to the hospital with head lacerations. He was listed in stable condition.

Emergency personnel said the horse was not seriously injured, as it was standing on its own, however it may have suffered a hip injury.

The road had restricted lanes for a short time while crews towed the truck from the street.

Northeast Fire and EMS assisted the Allen County Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
