South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg campaigns in Connecticut

National/World

Democratic Presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg stopped at a local bookstore in Concord, New Hampshire Saturday morning as part of his ongoing campaign for the Democratic nomination.

The 37-year-old South Bend, Indiana Mayor spoke on several issues, but emphasized the importance of resisting the narrative of both the Republican party and President Trump.

Addressing issues such as healthcare, voting rights and climate change, Buttigieg cautioned that the focus of the election must be on the future and asserted that there could be no honest politics revolving around the word “again.”

The New Hampshire primary, which is traditionally the first primary of the season and the second nominating contest after Iowa, is scheduled for February, 2020.
