Syracuse, Ind. (WANE) – The National Weather Service Northern Indiana office confirmed a tornado touched down in Wabash County Monday night. This is one of three others that were on the ground, in Cass and Miami Counties.
A damage survey team was sent to Wabash County and said “While we had confirmed reports of tornadoes (with pictures), the survey team was unable to find any damage associated with the tornado. As a result, we cannot rank it officially.” The tornado was ranked as unknown.
A team was also sent out to Cass County. They determined an EF-1 tornado touched down on the Cass/Carroll County line about 8 miles south of Logansport. That tornado lifted and destroyed an RV and caused minor roof damage to a few barns and homes in the area.
A second EF-1 tornado touched down in Miami County nearly 4 miles northeast of Denver. It was 2 miles southwest of Roann, right near the Miami/Wabash County line. This tornado destroyed a pole barn along N CR 600 E.Click here to see the latest updates from the National Weather Service.
