Music takes center stage at Parkview Field

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Thousands are expected to attend the third annual Patriotic Pops concert at Parkview Field. The free concert is put on by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.

The event will feature a series of patriotic songs and family favorites including Gould’s American Salute, marches from John Phillip Sousa, and the ever-popular 1812 Overture. The Phil’s conductor is Chia-Hsuan Lin.

The Parkview Field concert is just one of two going on in the area. Monday July 4th, Kendallville will host the Phil. The concert will also feature games and face painting along with the live music. It will be at Bixler Lake Park starting 7:30 Monday night.
