Preparations for Fort Wayne’s Fourth of July fireworks downtown show are well underway.

This year’s display will once again shoot from the Indiana Michigan Power Center.

The fireworks are scheduled to start at 10 p.m. and will last just over 20 minutes.

The display will follow the TinCaps game which starts at 6 p.m. If the game goes late, the fireworks will be pushed back.

Matthew Loraine is the event producer for Melrose Pyrotechnics. He said, “It’s celebrating our country’s birthday. John Quincy Adams said that this day should be celebrated with illuminations, parades, cookouts, bon fires, and we are doing it.. happy birthday.”

The last 7 minutes of the show will be solid finale.

Loraine says the fireworks can be seen from anywhere in Allen County that has a view of the downtown skyline.
