BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WANE) - Indiana State Police (ISP) detectives located a wanted DeKalb County man in Bloomington Thursday afternoon.
Police were looking for 27-year-old Timothy Johnson, of Garrett, who was wanted on an active warrant for multiple felony offenses.
Just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday, detectives pulled Johnson over for a traffic stop. Johnson pulled over and then fled on foot into a wooded area north of S.R. 46 near S.R. 37.
Officers from multiple agencies arrived on the scene to establish a perimeter while ISP K9, Loki, searched the woods. With the help of an ISP helicopter, Loki was directed to a fenced area east of the intersection of S.R. 46 and Arlington Road. Officers made numerous announcements for Johnson to make his presence known or the trained police dog would find him.
After receiving no response, officers deployed the K9 inside the fence and Johnson was apprehended. Officers arrested Johnson on his active warrant and is facing pending charges.
