WANE 15 temporarily went off the air Tuesday afternoon while a crew performed work on our tower.
Around 3 p.m., WANE 15 shut down our transmitter. The shutdown was necessary to allow a crew to work at the top of our antenna as we prepare for a federally mandated channel change in the future.
The work was complete by 5 p.m.
All over-the-air viewers were impacted, as well as cable companies that take WANE 15 over the air including Mediacom and Metronet. DISH Network customers were also impacted.
DirecTV, Comcast and Frontier customers did not have their services affected.
Regular programming missed will not be re-aired.
WANE 15 apologizes for this inconvenience.
