The Office of Indiana Tourism opened voting for the 2018 Best of Indiana people’s choice campaign on Friday. Hoosiers can vote for their favorite state parks & recreation areas, museums, and burgers. Voters can pick their five favorites in each category.
There are 32 state parks and recreation areas to choose from. Pokagon State Park, Salamonie Lake, and Ouabache State Park are just a few of those listed in Northeast Indiana.
There are 30 museums in 20 counties that are vying for the title of Best Museum. 5 of those are located in Northeast Indiana.
Three Northeast Indiana restaurants are vying for the title of Best Burger. Bravas, Don Hall’s, and Copper Top Tavern in Wolcottville all have burgers on the list.
Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch said, “One of the best things about voting in this contest, is you get to learn about others’ favorite locations and ones you might want to visit as well.”
Voting closes on October 27th. The winners will be announced shortly afterward.
