Indiana Conservation Officer Levi Knach and his K9, Kenobi, spend every day together. When they’re not out in the field, the duo is talking to schools around Northeast Indiana.

In 2017, Knach, a Whitley County native, and Kenobi became internet famous. Indiana State Parks shared the outtakes of their portrait session on social media. The photos were shared across the country and the world.

After those photos went viral, Officer Knach and Kenobi were featured in a popular book by Ted Arnold called “Fly Guy Promotes Police Officers”. Little Turtle Elementary School in Columbia City received a grant to purchase a copy of the book.

Knach and his K9 visited the school to give a presentation about what conservation officers do in the community. Students received a copy of the book, inside was a hand written note from Knach to each student.
