Vehicle takes out traffic signal

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A vehicle crashed into a traffic signal at a south Fort Wayne intersection Monday afternoon.

Police responded around 3:45 p.m. to the intersection of South Clinton and East Pontiac streets on a report of a personal injury crash. There, responders found a vehicle crashed into a traffic signal at the southwest corner of the intersection and brought it down.

Dispatchers told WANE 15 the driver was only slightly hurt in the crash. It's not clear how the crash happened.

Officers were directing traffic in the area, and traffic was slow moving. Crews were also working to repair the downed signal.
