It was a chilly morning for a pair of Fort Wayne Fire Department divers after they helped pull a van out of the Maumee river Sunday.
Emergency crews were called to the Kreager Park boat ramp around 6:30 a.m. after a neighbor across the river saw the van and called 911.
Fire and police crews arrived and found a van almost completely submerged with the doors and windows open.
Divers checked the van for victims and did not find anyone inside. Nobody was in the area to claim the van either.
A tow truck responded to the boat ramp and helped pull the van out of the water after divers broke the back windows and hooked chains to it.
Police are investigating how the van ended up in the water and were working to find the owner.
