Indiana Tech education majors will get help completing their degrees and teacher licensing agreements through the University of Saint Francis. The partnership is in response to Indiana Tech losing its accreditation for its education program.

Current Indiana Tech Elementary and Special Education majors will be allowed to finish their remaining education courses and teacher licensure requirements such as student teaching at USF. Those students will be able to finish non-major specific classes at Indiana Tech and will earn a degree from that university.

USF will later recommend complete degrees and licensure requirements to for Indiana Tech students to the Indiana Department of Education which has approved the collaboration between the universities.

Students majoring in education at Indiana Tech this semester will finish their classes as scheduled. Indiana Tech education majors in athletics will still be able to compete for Indiana Tech. Students in Indiana Tech activities and groups can also continue to participate.
