FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – At least two United Airlines flights at Fort Wayne International Airport were affected after the airline issued a nationwide ground stop Sunday night.
According to United Airlines, an IT issue has forced the stoppage. The company tweeted about the issue shortly after 8 p.m.
About an hour later, the company tweeted the ground stop had been lifted. As of 5 a.m. Monday, United flights at FWA were arriving and departing on time.
Flight UA5003 was scheduled to depart at 8:15 p.m local time but showed a delay. The arrival time at FWA was delayed 21 minutes to 9:39 p.m. UA4253 was scheduled to depart at 8:10 p.m. but showed a delay of nearly an hour. It’s arrival time as of 9:15 p.m. was scheduled for 11:18 p.m. – 50 minutes later than previously scheduled.
