Two men describe scene after being flagged down by hit and run victim

A bicyclist remains in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash in Allen County Thursday evening.

Police and medics responded to a report of a crash just after 5 p.m. in the 5300 block of Bull Rapids Road, just north of Woodburn near U.S. 24.

Two men, Garner and Chris Revalee, were driving on Bull Rapids Road Thursday evening when they saw someone on the road waving for them to stop.

The men found 19 year-old Landen Linnemeier in a ditch nearby.

First responders were called and Linnemeier was taken to a hospital in very serious condition. He was later downgraded to critical condition. 

Revalee and Garner said they hope the driver of the vehicle was who hit Lennemeier will turn themselves in.

The suspect’s vehicle left the scene before officers arrived. There is no suspect information or any witnesses.
