Traffic signals repaired after crash on north side of Fort Wayne

Traffic signals are functioning again and Coldwater Road has reopened after a crash knocked out power to a section of north Fort Wayne on Thursday.

Around 6:30 Thursday morning, the Fort Wayne Police Department was called to the scene of a crash on Coldwater Road just north of Dupont Road. A truck crashed into a utility pole close to Mill Lake Road. There were no injuries in association with the crash. 

Power to several traffic signals on nearby roads was knocked out following the crash. Those include Coldwater Road, Dupont Road, Till Road, Union Chapel Road, and Lima Road. Police directed traffic while crews worked to restore power.

Traffic signals were restored just before 8:00 a.m. Coldwater remained closed north of Dupont until about 8:15 a.m.

According to the Indiana Michigan Power website, 1152 customers were without power around 7:00 a.m.
