Man arrested for attempted murder

Two teenagers were flown to a Fort Wayne hospital after the car they were in hit a tree and rolled several times early Monday.

Police and medics were called around 4:15 a.m. to U.S. 20 just west of C.R. 460 East, east of Angola, on a report of a crash. There, responders found a Infiniti had left the road and rolled several times.

According to a Steuben County Sheriff’s Office report, 19-year-old Nathan Costa of Angola was headed west on U.S. 20 in a 2004 Infiniti passenger car when it left the roadway for some reason. Police said the vehicle struck a tree then rolled several times.

Costa and a passenger – 18-year-old Erik Jordan of Angola – were airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital. It’s not clear how badly they were hurt.

The crash is under investigation.
