Teen on bicycle struck by car in Noble Co.

A 13-year-old boy on a bicycle was struck by a car after he pulled out of a driveway and onto a road Tuesday, according to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department. 

First responders were called around 2 p.m. to 2552 County Road South 800 West near Smalley Lake. 

Investigators said the boy pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by Gregory Andrews, 60, Kimmell. Andrews was not able to avoid the boy, according to the sheriff’s department. 

The boy, whose name has not been released, was air lifted to a Fort Wayne hospital with head and leg injuries. A department report said the boy was listed in “stable condition.”

Andrews was not hurt.

The crash is under investigation.
