A teenager is recovering at a Fort Wayne hospital after being injured in a three vehicle crash on I-69 in Steuben County Tuesday afternoon.
Indiana State Police say it happened around 2:50 p.m. on northbound I-69 near the 341 mile marker. ISP said an INDOT mowing crew was working on the shoulder with an arrow truck behind them with its lights on. An SUV driven by 18-year-old Lucas Patrick of Ashley, Indiana slowed down for the INDOT vehicle. That’s when a semi hit the back of his vehicle.
Patrick’s SUV was then pushed into the back of the arrow truck, left the road and rolled onto its top. The semi also went off the road. It ended up with it’s trailer tires on top of the SUV.
Patrick was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening. No other drivers were hurt.
