Police are on the lookout for two suspects who were caught on camera breaking into a jewelry store Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to Lowden Jewelers on North Baldwin Ave. around 5 a.m. Once arriving on scene, they found the front door glass was shattered. Police then searched the building but weren’t able to find the suspects.
Investigators found that a showcase, containing various jewelry items, was damaged. They believe it was from a large piece of asphalt.
The store’s owner allowed police to view surveillance footage which showed two suspects wearing gloves, face masks and jackets with hoods. The two were able to get away with an unknown amount of jewelry.
Officers say the investigation is still active. If anyone knows what happened you’re asked to call the Marion Police Department at 765-662-9981 or Crime Stoppers at 765-662-8477.
