Start Halloween festivities early with ‘Indiana WILD’ animals

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A tortoise greeted kids at an event getting a head start on Halloween festivities.

Indiana WILD Sunday marked the 10th anniversary of celebrating the human-animal cultural connection with interactive hands-on experiences.

The organization, based in Woodburn, put together an event that included a trunk-or-treat, costume contest, live animal show and caricature artist RocklinArts, all at the Firehouse Reception Hall and Event Center from noon to 2:30 p.m.
