Smoke covers New Haven neighborhood during stubborn house fire

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WANE) Several fire crews were called to battle a house fire in New Haven Monday night.

Firefighters were called to the 1100 block of Summit Street around 10:15 p.m. Monday.

The incident began around 10:15 at a home in the 1100 block of Summit Street.

Fire officials at the scene told NewsChannel 15 that everyone inside was able to get out of the house. No injuries were reported.

As off 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters were still spraying water in and around the structure, which sits at the intersection with Eben Street.

About 6 fire trucks and 20 firefighters were at the scene when NewsChannel 15 got to the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
