Fort Wayne Fire Department and University of St. Francis students will be teaming up to host a smoke alarm distribution and installation blitz.
FWFD and USF students will distribute fire and carbon monoxide alarms to residents living near Fire Station 9 at 2530 East Pontiac St.
This event will be happening at 9:45 am, Saturday, November 10.
This blitz will allow the FWFD to quickly and efficiently distribute and install free smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and hearing impaired smoke alarms to the community.
The number one line of defense in the event of a home fire is working smoke alarms.
Any resident that needs free alarms may call 311 or click here to request alarms.
