FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says a man is in life-threatening condition after he was shot in the 800 block of Madison Street on Sunday evening.

Police say when they arrived on scene they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital.

FWPD is still searching for a person of interest. Detectives are canvassing the area an speaking to witnesses.

Police haven’t confirmed the identity of the shooter or the victim.
