Sears at Glenbrook Square Mall has announced it’s closing. This week, the company told 46 unprofitable stores they’d be closing in November. Glenbrook’s location was on the list.
Sears Holdings’ said in a statement the decision is part of “ongoing efforts to streamline Sears Holdings’ operations, strengthen our capital position and focus on our best stores.”
Back in May, the company announced the closure of 72 stores nationwide.
Liquidation sales will begin as early as August 30, 2018. The Fort Wayne Sears Auto Center is scheduled close in late September.
Sears hometown stores in Columbia City, Warsaw, Kendallville and Angola don’t appear to be impacted by the closures.
