Upscale steakhouse Ruth’s Chris Steak House will open its first Fort Wayne location next month.
According to a news release, Ruth’s Chris will open in the newly constructed Skyline Tower in downtown Fort Wayne May 7. It will be the fourth Ruth’s Chris in Indiana.
“Joining the Fort Wayne market and collaborating with the city has been a rewarding experience,” said Ryan Rans, Ruth’s Chris franchise owner. “The overall revitalization of downtown Fort Wayne is transforming the city which provides new dining, entertainment and business services to local residents and out of town guests.”
Ruth’s Chris will be the street-level anchor of the Skyline Tower development, a $40 million, 12-story mixed-use development that will feature 124 apartments over nine floors, as well as 170,000 square feet of retail and office space.
The restaurant will stretch over 13,000 square feet with indoor and outdoor seating for 280 diners, as well as a bar, a stage area for live entertainment, five private dining rooms and event spaces and a “state-of-the-art kitchen.” It will also feature “high-end culinary technology throughout the restaurant,” the new release said.
Ruth’s Chris is expected to welcome 5.9 million new visitors to Fort Wayne annually, the press release said.
“We are truly excited to bring the signature tastes of Ruth’s Chris to Fort Wayne and look forward to working closely with the community and building new and lasting friendships and partnerships,” said Larry Griggers, CEO of Hoosier Hospitality Group, the independent owner and operator of Ruth’s Chris Steak House franchised locations.
Ruth’s Chris will open Saturday through Thursday at 4 p.m. and at 11 a.m. on Fridays for lunch. For more information, visit ruthschris.com/fortwayne.
