Ribfest set to wrap up 21st year

Sunday is the last day to check out Ribfest, doors open at 12:30 pm.

The 21st annual Ribfest started Thursday at Headwaters Park in downtown Fort Wayne, and runs until Sunday at 9 pm.

The event features some of the country’s best barbecue, and has attracted thousands over the past four days.

Some local favorite Rib Masters featured include Timmy’s and ACME. Others include Carolina Rib King, Big Boned BBQ, Texas Pit Barbecue, Desperado’s BBQ, Low N Slow, Pigfoot, and Jack on the Bone.

Along side mouthwatering BBQ will be brews and blues. Musical acts scheduled to appear include: The Rain Kings, Heady Times, The Nick Harless Band, The mark May Band, The Paul Deslauriers Band, The Fensler Kid, Lee Lewis All-Stars and Blues Jam, The Stacey Mitchhart Band, Corey Dennison Band, Duece’n A Quarter, and the Sweetwater All-Stars.

Coolers and carry-in beverages are not permitted in the concert area. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Sunday the tickets will be discounted to $3, and children under 13 are free of admission.
