Jumping into an ice cold body of water in the middle of winter may seem like a crazy idea, but over the past 20 years, thousands Special Olympics Indiana supporters have risen to the challenge.
The Polar Plunge is February 9th at Metea County Park, and registration is now open.
Organizers are hoping to out do the 2018 Polar Plunge with more participants and more funds raised.
In the winter of 2018, they set all-time highs when more than 3,000 plungers took part in the signature fundraiser and brought in nearly $800,000 to support year-round programs and events for our athletes.
But with your help, the 2019 Polar Plunge Season will be their biggest and best yet!
Participants must raise a “bear” minimum of $75 ($50 minimum for students with a student I.D.) to take a daring dip into Indiana’s winter waters. All funds raised by the event benefit Special Olympics Indiana.
