Rededication of Memorial Grove

Local News

City leaders plan to unveil a new plaque honoring fallen soldiers at Memorial Grove with a rededication ceremony.

The special ceremony in Fort Wayne on Veterans Days aims to remember the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, which was the end of World War I, and also Veterans Day.

A new plaque containing the names of all 125 fallen soldiers from Allen County who served in World War I will be added.

It’s thanks in part due to fundraising efforts from the Warrior Breed Motorcycle Club, who also raised money to replace dead or dying trees within Memorial Grove.

The unveiling is set for Sunday at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park. The public is invited.

Warrior Breed Motorcycle Club is also proud to sponsor the November 10th MadAnts Military Appreciation Night. All Veteran, active duty and retired military along with their friends and family are welcome to attend the basketball game for free!
