A rear-end collision in DeKalb County Tuesday afternoon left one person injured, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department.
First responders were called to the 4500 block of County Road 59 shortly before 3 p.m.
Investigators said a vehicle slowed to turn into a private driver when an approaching vehicle did not slow down. A sheriff’s department statement said the driver of the approaching vehicle was “distracted” and collided with the rear of the other vehicle.
The driver of the front vehicle, 54-year-old Larry Williams of Brookland, Arkansas, was not hurt.
The driver of the second vehicle, 39-year-old Meagen Bredemeyer of Grabill, complained of chest pain. Police did not disclosure her condition or indicate if she was taken to a hospital.
The crash is under investigation.
